Is paypal/Checkout-PHP-SDK recommended for PHP PayPal Checkout Implementations?

When I browse the PayPal developer pages, I can't find any mention of a PHP SDK but I found this one, which seems to be an official PayPal offering...

I have it up and running and PayPal checkout is working. But is this package actively maintained and supported by PayPal? and is it the recommended solution for those working in PHP?
