I don't think there is a option on PayPal to print receipts, except click "Details" on the transaction, and print that page of details and fax it to your donators.
I thought I saw something a while ago on how to create a custom receipt.. I thought it was an option after creating a button, but I can't find anything now.. It WAS one of the advantages to using PayPal.
I just made a paypal donation which has a number and says I can print and use it.
I know you can do custom "Invoices", maybe this is something you seen? Let me know, if Not I'll open my page and look around to see what I can find for you.
