i had to refund an ebayer for a mistaken purchase, which I did....when I checked PP I found to my horror that I HAD LOST 20p from a £1.65 transaction.
Can somebody explain why I have to forfeit this because of a customer error and why, if there is a 'penalty' did the customer not have to pay it as it was his fault.

When someone pays you the charge is 3.4% + 20p, when you refund the buyer your fee is returned but you are charged a 20p processing fee.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
