eCheque Refund

Hi Hopefully someone can help.

I ordered something online and selected Paypal. What i didnt realise until afterwards was that the payment was sent by eCheque. As i didnt want to delay the order I requested a cancellation and re-ordered using a credit card. The company then cancelled the order.

The payment is still showing as processing and I have asked the company to cancel the request through their Paypal but this has not happened and they seem to no longer be replying.

What now? eCheque is still pending (until the 15th) but the money has left my bank account meaning so far I have paid twice. Can I use the Resolution Centre to get my money back or will it stay unclaimed and automatically refund?

Any advice would be great

Thanks

Only a seller can cancel a processing echeque and you really should not have paid a second time until they did so.

All you can do is hope they cancel it and if they don't then you can contact them once it has cleared and request a refund.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

@kernowlass

I realise now I shouldnt have paid again, however having not used eCheque before (and I definitely wont again) and being told by the sellerthat the order had been cancelled I assumed the payment would too.

At this stage is there anything my bank can do? Or what would happen to the money if my bank can stop the payment?

Or Resolution Centre, can i escalate the issue there to force a response from the seller?

Thanks
