Where is my money?

hello, paypal is saying iv recieved a refund from Asos and it shows money going into paypal but when i see my balance it just says £0.00 and the money did not go into my bank account. getting sick of paypal now. can anyone shed some light? thanks

you need to say how you funded your PayPal payment. 

bank transfer or debit card.

Have you bought anything and paid for it via paypal since the refund should have gone in??

The reason i ask is that if you have funds in your paypal balance and then buy something then paypal will always take from those funds (as that is now the default funding source), rather than from your normal funding source eg bank account or card.

To check go and click on the word "details" next to any recent paypal buying transaction and see if they were funded from your paypal balance ie refund rather than your normal funding source.

i have made purchases using paypal but the money was never in there in the first place and when i made the purchases it takes it from my bank and not using paypal funds.

It probably was in there for a short period but you probably bought something and it disappeared again before you noticed.

And it would ONLY take from your bank account if there were no funds in your balance.

So you need to do as already advised  >>>

i dont use it to keep money on, i simply use paypal just a quick way of paying so i dont have to put all details in. the money was supposidly refunded to me but the money wasnt in my account even before i made the purchases, and the purcheses i made came from my bank account, not any money on paypal... the money was never refunded!!!!
