How do I speak to somebody on the phone

I am sick and tired of having to listen to some poxy machine when all I want to do is speak to somebody at PayPal.

it pathetic and I really don't see why it's so difficult to do this.

can anybody tell me why I can't speak to somebody via telephone ?
