What should I do

I open a dispute because I ordered an item off eBay and I mistakenly made a typo in the address box in which it was being shipped to. So of course I didn't receive the item, and it was sent back to the seller. I didn't know what to do at first so I messaged the seller and he told me how to open a dispute, so I did, but now he isn't replying in the case. It has been a week and he hasn't said anything. I would escalate the case but I'm afraid I will lose because it was a mistake on my part. I don't know what to do. I just want to get my item. But he won't reply, how should I deal with it?

Well even though the mistake was yours it would have been fair for the seller to refund item cost (and not postage fees) for the item once they had it back.

You can get the sellers contact number and see if you can sort it out via advanced search at the top of ebay pages > use contact member in the left column > fill in the details and ebay will email you their telephone number.

Failing that I would put in the dispute that you are happy for a refund of item cost as a fair compromise and escalate the dispute to a claim.

Then hope ebay sorts it for you.
