Shopify test purchase manual refund

In setting up my shopify store I did a test order using my personal paypal account to see how the system worked. I attempted to refund it afterwards (before I was charged) on their end and it said I needed a linked paypal account. I went through their wizard and logged into PayPal, to which it said I needed a business ccount. I set one up and it all went through fine. I then went to do the refund and it kept coming up as failed.

 

I asked shopify's live chat and they said that as I had linked in an account, the API data had been resynced to the new account and associatioon with the previous link (which I assume is the default shopify vendor store) is no longer valid. As a result of this they suggested I do a manual refund on PayPal and that it would be best to contact them.

 

How would I go about this?
