Scammed and Really Confused

On tuesday, I was scammed for £90 and I haven't got the money back. He said it'd be in my account 2-3 business days and I have not yet received the money. I cannot get hold of the man because he has blocked my number, deleted his Gumtree account, etc.

I tried to contact Paypal and accidentally pressed 'unauthorised transaction' and this resulted in opening a case. Due to this, they had to close the case because I went the wrong way about it. I tried to reopen the case but they said I can't because it's closed and I've already disputed the transaction.

What should I do?

You can only open x1 dispute per transaction. By opening one of 'unauthorised transaction' you were stating that your paypal account had been hacked and used without your consent, as this was not the case the dispute was closed.

If you had opened one for 'item not received' you would have had a refund.

You can try phoning customer services and see if they will allow you to open another dispute OR if you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then contact your card issuer and see if they will chargeback for you.
