Hi 

i brought a dress off a lady for £20 but when I went to pay , she said no not gone through so I cancelled 3 times then she sent me a invoice ,,,  spoke to my bank and refunds not been put back in ...that was last week spoke to PayPal as welll last week , can take up to 5/7 working days still not in ....how do I get money back

If you could cancel them then it meant she had made a typo with her email address on her auction.

However when you pay its never instant, paypal normally credit the seller and then paypal take the wait for your funds to transfer from your bank account.

When its cancelled those funds can't do a u-turn, they have to process through to Paypal who will then as the payment was cancelled credit them to your Paypal balance (and you can then withdraw them again).

As you cancelled shortly after paying the funds probably had not started to process yet so it takes 5-7 working NOT calender days.
