Refund not showing on visa card and gross is still negative on Paypal...

I bought an item from ebay yesterday and the seller then emailed me saying the item had been sold already: they told me I would get a full refund. I checked my email this morning and paypal issued a statement that I received a refund, however on my transaction sheet it says differently: payment status: refunded (but in blue writing?) and the gross is: -$46.60.... WHY is it showing up NEGATIVE????
I am new to paypal and would appriciate some help. Another thing is the refund is not showing up on my transaction history on my visa card. Will it show up, do I just have to wait patiently??

if you paid by card then the refund will take 5-7 working days to appear on your card. the negative balance usual means that either a payment paypal tried to take from your bank bounced, or someone has raised a dispute against you.

Okay, but what does it mean when it bounced? I don't understand why it would raise a despute seeing as they were refunding me for not properly advertising that a product they were selling was already sold. Ugh this is confusing. Thank you for your reply.

what i mean by bounced is if paypal paid for you, and when they requested the money from your bank, the bank said no. A dispute is where someone claims they didnt get your item, or if they got it but it was broken or not what they were expecting. they can raise a dispute, the money goes on hold and puts your account in a negative balance. a dispute has no relation to a bounced payment. they are two unrelated things and were just suggestions as to what might cause the negative balance. hop this is easier to understand

Is there anyway I can fix this problem? I used a prepaid visa card. Does this effect it in anyway? I had a refund before and i got the refund perfectly fine on the prepaid card however this time i may not be so lucky. Thank you for your help!!
