Receiving Cancellation Money

Hello

Earlier today I purchased an electric drum kit on Ebay for a total price including Postage and Packaging of £103.70. After sending the payment via Paypal I was duely noted by the seller that they had not received the money after a few hours, whereas it has happened almost instantly in the past. Therefore I went onto my PayPal transactions list and cancelled the payment. I then tried again, only for the seller to then realize that the reason it hadn't been going through was because they had accidentally mistype d their username. I then cancelled the transaction for a second time. However, my bank account has now been debited the total amount for both of these transactions, which is £207.40. My PayPal account has not been credited.

How and when do I get my money back?

Although cancelled it still will go through a payment process before it realises the payment has been cancelled so could take around 7 days or up to

In future if you have to cancel a payment because of sellers incorrect ppal email address ask the seller to send you an invoice

Ok Thanks. So you are saying that I am 100% guranteed to receive all of my money back by at least next Thursday?

No one can guarantee the DATE you will get the cancelled payments back as they have to process through to paypal then back to your funding source or if you paid via instant bank transfer it may be credited to your paypal account and you may have to transfer it back to your bank account if you want to yourself.

It takes "about a week".
