Ordering fiasco & could use some help. What is happening?

Hello everyone! I'm a bit confused as to what is happening. I ordered from an online store and at checkout decided to pay with my PayPal. I chose for the money to come out of my bank account instead of using a debit/credit card. Within minutes of placing my order, I realized I ordered incorrectly and cancelled the PayPal payment. I never received a confirmation that the order was placed with the store, nor does it show up in the stores "order history" to show the order exists. The order and amount is also not shown as taken out of my bank account. The only place it appears is on PayPal itself, showing "pending authorization" and the amount to the store. Is this money going to be held by PayPal? Since the order was not actually placed (phone glitched)? Is this money going to stay in my bank account? Can someone please tell me what is happening?
