E Cheque Refund Progress Too Slow..Should I Refund Buyer Again

Hi People

I have issued a refund to a buyer on ebay, I didnt have funds in my paypal account...so the refund was sent as an e cheque, e cheque can take 5-7 days to clear and the buyer is not happy (i dont blame them)

Its never happened in the past where i had to refund a buyer and paypal have sent it as e cheque?...its all ways been a instant refund.

Now my question is...If i was to issue a refund again with funds added to my paypal account ...whilst this e cheque is still in progress....Will my second attempt at refunding the same buyer...cancel out the original e cheque refund..which is pending?

Because i dont want to refund the buyer twice....I was hoping that my second instant refund will stop the first one in progress(e cheque)

and the first attempt at refunding which is still in progress/pending would just simply be added to my account balance

A refund is only ever instant if you are refunding and have funds in your paypal balance, other than that it goes as an echeque.

I can't see why the buyer is unhappy they only have to wait a few days for it to clear, and i don't think you can cancel a refunding echeque so you may well refund x2 if you try again.
