Buyers account hacked

According to my buyer her account was hacked and she did not make a purchase from me. However I have already mailed the item and it's on it's way. Meanwhile Paypal has held the funds pending refund. I recieved an email from paypal asking me to resolve the issue, there is no where to resolve issue, under open cases it says....case is under investigation... so what do I do just wait? It is not my fault the buyers account was hacked and I should not have to pay a refund unless my merchandise it returned.  Can paypal do this?

You should really read up on seller protection before you start using paypal to sell.

If a buyers account is hacked and used without their consent paypal will obviously investigate to see if that was true.

If it was then of course the account holder gets their money back BUT you would not lose out either as paypal would reimburse you.

BUT they will only reimburse you IF you met ALL the requirements of seller protection, so your best bet is to go and read up on it to make sure you were covered by that 'insurance policy'.

I have read up and yes your right I should be covered but I have found by reading many articles ....paypal does what it wants to do. Merry christmas to me
