Pay with Credit Card option hidden?

Hello,

When a customer goes to pay there is an EXTRA link that is virtually hidden to pay with credit card. This is completley unnecessary and the credit card form should be visible on that screen, as most people do not have a paypal account. I remember when that was the set-up on the payment screens. You advertise "Accept credit cards on your site" but you deliberately make it difficult to do so. This is absolutely disgusting self-serving BS from paypal.

Is there a way to disable this garbage and make the credit card form ont he same level as PayPal button, or am I going with Google Checkout, who have some decency? Please advise.

So buyers are logging into their Paypal account to pay, and they don't have a Paypal account ???????

No. Once an item is placed into the shopping cart, there are two options:

"Checkout" or "Checkout with PayPal"

Customer clicks on "Checkout" - they are present with a screen that AGAIN asks them to log in with paypal or make an account, with a 1-line link at the bottom that says "don't have a paypal account? pay with credit  cart, etc.."

Again this is AFTER the person was already offered the option to pay with PayPal and declined it.

Self-serving BS. They are perfectly happy having the user go off of your purchase path, if there is even a tiny benefit to PayPal. No wonder people are seeking other options everywhere I read. Wish I didn;t waste so much time setting up this service on my site, only to find out there's basically no interest in actually making it helpful for the business.
