Is it possible (and useful) to combine PayPal Smart Buttons with the REST API SDK for PHP V2?

I have now searched for days for a tutorial or documentation for the question mentioned in the subject, but found nothing.

If anyone knows how to do this, I would be very grateful for help.

Otherwise, I would take a simple PayPal button from the official website and combine it with the REST API SDK for PHP V2 (similar to the "Deutsche Post").
