Payer uncontactable after paying first half of partial payment

I sent an invoice to a client on 8 Feb 2023 for a job and allowed partial payments. The fee was €490 and she has paid €245 so far. She unfortunately had to go on maternity leave for several months, so we only managed to resume the work in November, but she has since gone MIA. Paypal should still have the first €245 that she's paid–how can I retrieve it? I can't find any settings on the invoice page to allow me to close the invoice and receive any existing payments.

If she paid an invoice then it would show on your paypal account balance, paypal does not store the funds for you ???
