Unable to use bank as payment method

I'm trying to add my bank account (Norwegian bank, DNB) to my account to use as payment method after some friends was surprised I was using my credit card as payment method. One of my friends have the same bank as me and he said he has no problem using it as payment method.

 

However, after adding my bank account to paypal I can literally do nothing but see that there's a bank account added. There are no options when I click on the bank account to set it as my prefered payment method, and when I try to make a payment online I can't even choose the bank as the payment method, I only see my credit card.

 

Here are a few screenshots from the process of adding my bank account.

Note: The account number shown in the screenshot is not real!

 

DNB is recognized as a bank by PayPal:

No issue adding the bank account to my PayPal:

No other payment method besides my balance and the bank account:

Literally nothing can be done here for my payment method. Unless I want to spend my days changing the nickname for this payment method this bank account is basically nothing but some text that can be removed.

I'm not able to find this anywhere, but is bank payment not supported in Norway?
