Transaction not found

Hello, I'm a freelance writing instructor who received a payment on my Paypal email (which was not confirmed yet that time). I logged in to my Paypal account and finished email confirmation. When I clicked "accept payment", it says that the transaction no longer exists. My wallet balance does not reflect the payment being received. Is there any way to for Paypal track the transaction ID and know where the payment went?

If you had not confirmed your email address the buyer either had a cancel option they could use OR it timed out at 30 days and went back to the buyer.
