The billing agreement has been cancelled (when it is still active)

Hi Members,

I am a long time subscriber of the monthly Humble Bundle pack, and they used to bill me on an annual basis.

According to the Humble home page, I am still a subscriber (it is already appearing with the month-to-month billing cycle):

This year, I wanted to change my annual plan to month-by-month basis, which I did, please see below:

I simply chose the monthly cycle and clicked Save.

Now when I try to pay for the next monthly bundle (which you can, you don't have to wait till the 26th of June), I keep getting the following error:

If I go to the checkout page, Humble wants me to start a new billing plan which I do not want to. On Paypal, my Humble agreement is still marked as ACTIVE, and not cancelled, still I cannot complete my purchase on the Humble site (tried many times, and I have the funds).

I already reached out to Humble Bundle support and they said unfortunately they are not able to help me, so I need to reach out for PayPal.

But I couldn't even locate where could I open a case for this at PayPal, so I am reaching out for you guys now, hoping that some of you might be able to help me with this, because I am out of ideas here...

Thank you,

Richard

Go into your PayPal account and cancel the current billing agreement with this merchant and start a new billing agreement for the monthly plan when you pay for the monthly plan.

Settings (gear icon) > Payments > Manage Automatic Payments

Select merchant on left, click Cancel on the right.

I guess you have to cancel the old billing agreement in order for it to work when changing plans. Then maybe you can try to pay early next month to see if it will work.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Hi  sharpiemarker,

That's the thing... I don't want to cancel it, because the Classic plan I have is no longer available (but worse and more expensive ones only).

I only wanted to change from annual to month-to-month, and keep my Classic plan going.

Richard
