I have an item for sale and the buyer wants to pay me using pay pal. I have a PayPal account that I use for buying but never for selling . How does the money go in to my account.

The sender sends payment to your email address or mobile number.

You can also send PayPal invoices by email.

Try selling modestly priced items to get a feel of the process then gradually working towards more expensive, high risk items.

But I highly recommend reading these first since it’s your first time selling:

Are there any tips for people new to selling?

How do I receive money through PayPal?

How do I create and send an invoice or payment request?

What is PayPal.Me?

How does PayPal protect me as a seller?

What is the PayPal Seller Protection Policy and what items aren’t covered?

Why is my payment on hold and when will it be available?

How can I release my payment(s) on hold?

How buyers can confirm receipt of goods to release held funds.

Be mindful of scams:

*Never provide account holder name with PayPal email address for payment, sender/buyer will see it in the transaction details after payment. Scammers will try to make spoofed emails with your account name.

*Always check your PayPal account to verify receipt of payment before shipping, don’t just believe emails which could be spoofed. The transaction details will say if it’s ok to ship or not.

*PayPal never hides payment and asking these things upfront: buying gift cards, paying third parties/agents, tracking numbers via email

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
