Does anyone know what happens to transactions that are pending if the card expires before they are posted?
My wife made a purchase, the charge is pending and it won't post because the item has been delayed and it will take 12 days to ship. Payments usually post when the merchant ships the item.
The problem is that the card used was a prepaid rebate card that expires in 10 days. Will the merchant be able to properly post the charge to the card? The transaction right now in the card is "pending" and I cannot use the funds anywhere else.
