I am trying to purchase a product from the Big Cartel platform by an artist. The problem is when I checkout by this option - “Pay by PayPal” - I get the following error message - “Your card was declined. Please select another funding method on PayPal.”
Note that the above is the only available option by the artist, and hence, I have no choice.
Why do I keep seeing this error message only on Big Cartel? Everywhere else, PayPal works smoothly, but only on Big Cartel, do I see this issue.
Any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Note - I am from India, and hence, PayPal balance doesn’t work in our country.
