Payment rejected and returned

Hello,
I use Paypal to receive funds from my account on Upwork, However the payment was rejected and refunded back to my account on Upwork, I contacted Upwork and they said that the problem was not from their end, why did this happen and how can i solve this problem?

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that your payment from Upwork was rejected. That is understandably frustrating. I see that your Community profile states you are from Egypt. If that's the case, have you added and confirmed a card to verify your PayPal account? 

If your account is not verified, you may not be able to receive a payment. You may also want to check with Upwork to ensure they will send payments to your region in the appropriate currency.
