I'm trying to pay for an eBay purchase with my PayPal balance, but it keeps asking me to add a debit or credit card, which I do not want to do. I prefer to pay with my balance. I have sufficient funds in my PayPal account and in my linked bank account.
I can't even link my PayPal account to eBay, because trying to do so brings up a page to set up a new PayPal account.
As per PayPal Facebook support, I tried "remove caches and cookies from your web browser and try in different browser after few hours".
This did not work and is a well documented issue. Why even allow PayPal payments on eBay if it does not work?
