I have been refunded after sending friends and family , but We have not requested it

I have been refunded after sending friends and family , but I have not requested it neither the other side,

They had money for few hours then paypal automatically refunded me it, they not on my paypal account yet and bank says pending transaction , 

on their side says I have cancelled it , but how could I if it was friends and family ?

very weird situation , can anyone help ?
