sent payment via paypal through my linked bank account

I also have a credit card tied to the account but it sent as an Echeck I have used this account before to make many similar payments and they went instantly. I dont understand why it sent as echeck this time. $400 in that bank account $19 transaction but zero paypal balance(never had problem as its tied to bank) is this a new policy i overlooked somewhere?

Reasons for a payment being sent as an echeque are...

1. Card needs updating.
2. Recent neg balance.
3. Recent failed bank transfer.
4. High cost payment.
5. High risk transaction.
6. Some friends / family payments.
