hi. I have never used PayPal to make a purchase, but for whatever reason ebay refund was apparently routed through PayPal. Unsure exactly why, but it seems to be because the seller uses PayPal. Long story short, ebay is now claiming that paypal is holding my refund bc since the original purchase, my debit card was compromised and I had to switch cards and they have been trying to refund my original form of payment. I had been trying since yesterday to get through to a live person vs this automated nonsense, no luck. I have the reference number which is what ebay claims I need to have my refund forwarded to my new debit card. How can I speak w an actual person? Messaging them is apparently useless as is calling
