eBay login problem

When I try to make a purchase on eBay using PayPal, the PayPal login process will not complete...As instructed, I changed my password but no joy..I can log-on to PayPal directly no problem..

I had the same problem making a payment yesterday. after changing my password it eventually worked on the 6th attempt.

I tried making another payment today and had the same problem. 

I can log into paypal.com using 2 step authentication fine but get an error after the 2 step authentication when trying to make a payment.

For info, this is the web address I'm redirected to before seeing the error:

I hope this helps someone work out what the problem is.
