Ok I been noticing a lot of sites from Itch.io to streamlabs now started to LEGACY-DEPRECATED the old method of receiving payment for paypal. the current new method requires a paypal business account, but on the paypal site I am required to have a business name!
I don't know what to do at this point and the money I received won't really sufficient for me to start a business if my personal/premier is also used for online purchases.
im in the exact same issue being a semi new streamer for twitch I will not (any time soon anyway) even get close to anything they require for a business account im at my wits end as well and this is giving me one hell of a panic attack (granted I accidently made a business account and they gladly reverted me so im very happy they were there to help all the same)
@Yinaru they should lower the requirement for the new system they are putting in place since afaik that what the former "premier" account system was put in place to have almost the same feature and benefits business account but for individual who pretty much just do small hobby-level stuff that won't consider as a business like commissions and live-streaming.
Huge agreements seeing as how a good chunk of my friends are streamers for games chatting and even art related I know how hard it is to be a SMALL name in the huge world of streaming and any amount is greatly appreciated... specially for commissions of any amount. you don't want to be forced into splitting that with someone when YOU are the one doing literally ALL the work. That to me isn't right. now I do understand as to WHY this is a thing but that should be for the smaller individual low paying trying to get by on whatever they can type deals... That kind of thing is never fair to ether party seeing as the person not doing the work will only get like scraps so to speak but that's just my stand on it... Ether way its just not right to do to us little names...
