Why can't people pay my PayPal without signing up also?

After browsing constant help tips nothing works for the following - I simply want to send an invoice or payment request to a customer who DOES NOT WANT TO SIGN UP TO PAYPAL but every single link forces the customer to have to sign up. I'm incredibly frustrated to say the least. All I want is to send a payment link for my PayPal address so a customer/friend/ANYONE can send me money WITHOUT SIGNING UP TO PAYPAL. NO - Requesting a payment does not work. NO - Paypal.me link DOES NOT WORK. ALL OPTIONS FORCE THE PERSON TO SIGN UP TO PAYPAL TO CONTINUE. What can I do????

A PayPal account is required to pay via the PayPal.me link, there's no way around that.

If your account is a business account, setting to enable PayPal account option is accessible.

Go to Account Settings (wheel icon) > Website Payments > Website Preferences > Update > PayPal account optional

Generally, PayPal accounts optional should be on default so you'll probably need to contact customer service to enable it for your account if it is a personal account as some of the seller settings were done away with when paypal merged personal and premiere accounts.

Contact customer service for assistance:

Click HELP at the top menu, scroll down to click CONTACT US, and then scroll down to click CALL US.

Say "Live Agent" to the automated recording.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
