Why can't I pay on Facebook using my PayPal balance?

Hello,

 

I have tried to pay for ads and also donate on Facebook (both one-time payments) to no avail. It doesn't let me pay with anything but my credit card. I have more than sufficient funds on my PayPal balance. Why is this?

Oh, and I forgot to add that I've already switched my preferred payment method to PayPal balance.
