I am attempting to pay for an item, but at checkout, it gives me the error: "We ran into a problem and PayPal isn't available right now. Please select a different payment option." PayPal is greyed out and unable to be accessed at all.
So I do, and use one of my credit cards. The purchase then says it is pending and after about five minutes kicks back and says payment failed.
I am extremely frustrated because the same issue happened twice last month. One seller understood the situation and canceled it. The other was extremely unhelpful and refused to answer after the first message I sent, even though I included screenshots. They then marked it as an unpaid item. I've been on eBay for over a decade and never had any trouble.
I've paid for hundreds of items before and several since last month, and now it has popped up again.
I contact Paypal and they say it is an eBay issue and act like they've never heard of this before.
I contact eBay and they say it is PayPal and they can't help me.
I've searched dozens of forums and can't find any help, just other people with the same issue and no helpful responses.
I do not want to get another unpaid item on my account, it is extremely unfair as I have every intention of paying but can't get any help from the seller, eBay or PayPal.
The seller does accept PayPal and orders from my country.
Can someone please help? My PayPal is verified, my credit cards are having no issues and I can buy easily from other sellers (just bought and paid for two items with no problem.)
