If payment is marked completed or pending on your end, contact the merchant to cancel and refund, if no response or request to cancel and refund is refused, click the transaction, click "Report a problem" to open a dispute.
If the order is pending, chances are the seller has not processed the payment. The status of an order will continue to display as pending until it expires, is completed, or has been voided, which can take up to 30 days.
If the payment is unclaimed by the recipient as it was sent to an unregistered email address, there should be a cancel button there.
Refunds to card may take up to 30 days for there credit to appear. Payments from banks will have to complete processing first before it gets returned back to you and then automatically transferred back to your bank account.
