Refund afterpay

I was refunded yesterday - paid via afterpay through eBay , had paid it all off . Issued refund and now it’s saying refund paid to a MasterCard which I don’t own and no info on my afterpay account ? Anyone have any idea how and why ? Cheers

Yes, thank you.  It would save a lot of angst if the refund email from PayPal explained the refund process better.  It's the mention of the Mastercard that throws everyone into a loop.

And the refunds are 4 separate transactions. I received 2 a week ago and am still waiting for the last 2.

The retailer refund to Paypal Mastercard XXXX happened the next day ie Afterpay refunded back to the CC I used for the Afterpay payment and updated their repayment schedule.

All sorted but wasn't very clear and I think made more confusing by the retailer's phone call ( they claimed to not understand Afterpay / eBay refund process ). 

Have since made other Afterpay purchase on eBay and noticed at the shopping cart stage it does specify Paypal will process the payment.
