Pending echeck

My client sent me an echeck last Saturday (Friday in the US). Paypal said it would take 3-5 business days for it to clear. Is it possible to cancel the transaction and ask for an instant payment? And does it really take 5 business days? Im from the Philippines so the days are different. Also, is there a way for my client to check when the payment would clear on his paypal account? Thank you.

Can be up to 5-7 working days.

You can't cancel it but you can issue a refund once its cleared through to you.
