Payment could not be proccessed but still purchase was done.

I tried to purchase an item online. I used Paypal but I got an error saying "Payment cannot be proccessed at the moment" so I decided to change my paymement method to credit/debit card. The purchase was successful but 2 minutes later I got an email from Paypal saying that the purchase was successful as well.. I checked my bank account and I saw 2 purchases (1 via debit card and 1 via Paypal) for the same item. Is there anything we can do about this?
