Hi last week I paid for something using paypal but my HSBC current account was blocked as I had lost my debit card, pay pal instead used my backup card - A mastercard credit card and this went through. However, I dont have a mastercard credit card and I have since deleted it from my account thinking nothing of it - I expect I once used someone elses card (a friend or someone from work's card) and its stayed on their but all i get is the last four digits of the card - I need to find out who's the card is so I can pay them the money back that has been removed from their account.
As you broke paypal rules by adding another persons card to your paypal account and even worse do not even know who that person is, then i suggest you start asking family / friends to find out OR ask the seller to refund and then pay again from your own funding source.
