Hi! I'm in Canada, and an AirBNB-type host sent me an invoice via Paypal to pay by Visa credit card. I paid it, in Canadian dollars, and he said he didn't get the full amount. I assume Paypal or Visa or bank took fees? (It came to 34 GBP). Should he be paying those fees or should I be? He took it out of my damage deposit I had paid earlier (and he got the full amount at that time. I believe Paypal UK has new rules now).
Is there a place I can see an invoice with all the fees etc. written out, or perhaps he gets one?
He hasn't answered me in days; I think he's trying to figure it out too.
If I get my damage deposit back in full, I figure if he sends it via Paypal I won't receive the full amount...?
