So I have a sugar person and they sent me 2000$ but he’s asking for a 50$ eBay code and that’s what it says on the screen it needs a eBay code and the money is on hold on my account is this legit?

I hope you are doing well.When someone sends you money, Paypal would not ask you to buy for a gift card first before you can redeem it. 

Be careful if the offer is good to be true, that might be a "Phishing email" .You may receive an email falsely claiming to be from PayPal. Sending fake emails is called "phishing" because the sender is "fishing" for your personal information. The goal is to trick you in to giving up your personal, financial, or account information. Phishing emails may ask you to visit a fake or "spoof" website, or call a fake customer service number. These emails can also contain attachments that install malicious software on your computer when opened.
