Money sent to friend/Friend didn't receive it

I sent $20 to a friend and sent it to her phone number. Her first and last name popped up once I clicked enter so it was to the correct person. I chose send as friend/family and sent it. It confirmed I sent this person $20. However, she did not receive it. So I logged back in thinking it would show as pending or show me some kind of error or whatever but not, showed money sent from my account, transaction complete. I couldn't cancel it so it went somewhere. 

She asked what email address did it show and shows none. Does anyone know what might have happened here? I'd appreciate any thoughts, thanks!

Click on the transaction in your paypal account and is there an email address on that details page.

Also check that the recipient has ''added and confirmed'' her phone number on her paypal account.
