How do I up the amount on recurring payment?

I just upgraded a membership that was $40/month and now it's $90. The merchant says they can't request the additional unless I change the settings in Paypal - but I can't find a way of doing that. Do I need to cancel the payments and start over with them? Or can I simply change the amount when I log into Paypal?
Thanks!

Hi there,
Welcome tot he PayPal Community.
This needs to be done via the merchant. If the merchant is not aware of how I suggest cancelling the membership and applying again.

**Update**
I actually do not think it is an option on the merchant side so I think the best option is to end the old one and start a new one.
