Help with pay

I sold an item and got paid through paypal. But I got an email saying that now paypal requires me to send a tracking number before the funds can finish depositing in my account. So it protects us both from fraud. I got the tracking number and sent it to that same email since I wasn't sure where to send it. But the money still hasn't gone through

Hi @1k2 and @Bharath6,

 

Thank you both very much for your posts. One thing to consider is to review the email you received for validity. If the email is telling you that the transaction will not be received into your account before a tracking number is supplied, it is likely a fake. A transaction should show in your account, even if it is held, before tracking is added using the instructions supplied in the previous post. If there is no transaction in your account, please do not send the item.
