I think that the money should be in your PayPal account, but you have no way to transfer it from your PayPal account to your bank account.   You should be able to use your balance to make a purchase.

Do you mean a paypal.me link? Or your email address?

If you sent an email address link and someone paid then yes the funds should show in your paypal balance.

BUT if its in another currency then you would need to 'add' that currency as a receiving currency on your UK paypal account before it would show up.

Go to your paypal summary page and click on the 3 dots next to your balance > manage currencies > then select USD as a receiving currency and it should show up.

Then you would have to go back and use the currency conversion option to change it to sterling if you want to.

If you are selling items then make sure the buyers in the future send in your currency and not theirs.

HOWEVER if it was a paypal.me link then i don't think you can receive another currency on a personal account via that option, has to be in sterling.
