Cash card overdrawn

I used my card at a gas pump and i only had $0.64 as my available balance and my card that was linked to my account was also at a 0 balance but yet it let me pump $40.00 worth of gas and then told me later on that my Paypal Cash Card balance was -$40.00. It has never let me spend over whatever i had on the card before anywhere else.

I'm sorry to hear that you are encountering an issue with a negative balance. There’s no backup funding for the PayPal Cash Card. The PayPal Cash Card uses money available in your PayPal Cash Plus account. If there’s insufficient money in your PayPal Cash Plus account to cover the amount of a purchase, that purchase will be declined at the point of sale.
