Bank of America transaction fees

I have been a avid drone hobbyist for 3 years now and have not had "Transaction Fee" assessed by my bank before on international purchases.

Even repairs from a "local shop" (4 hours away) have been hit with international transaction fees.

According to the BoA rep, these fees come from Pay Pal processing the transaction as a terminal transaction and not a pin-less transaction.

Could I have some input from the mods please?
