Hi,
We are a Junior Football club and we have used PayPal's Adaptive Payment system for nearly 5 years for our tournament database without any issues.
We have invested in a brand new website at considerable cost and have tried to integrate the Adaptive Payments into the Woocommerce app on our site. It works in principle in the sandbox mode, however it will not work when it's live online.
We have been told that PayPal have withdrawn the general usage product and have made it a limited product. This as you can imagine has left us in a bit of a predicament with how to accept split payments.
Adaptive Payments has served us well over the years and as an existing user of it, thought that we would be allowed to continue to use it. Sadly not.
We are now having to provide a two stage booking system, whereby a booking fee is paid first, then the main event booking is paid separately at great inconvenience to those booking through the site.
We would like to continue to use Adaptive Payments with PayPal as an existing customer, but with the new site.
We have spoken to PayPal, unfortunately, not to anybody within the company that has any real knowledge or influence in resolving the matter.
As a charitable organisation, the withdrawal of Adaptive Payments as serious affected out ability to raise vital clubs funds.
We are hoping that this post would prompt somebody from PayPal to get in touch and see if we can find a solution and allow us continued use of Adaptive Payments.
Does anybody know who at PayPal we need to speak to and have this authorised.
Thanks Paul
