Impossible to pay by card without creating or using a paypal account

Hello,

I created a site that is a finalization phase. (Joomla with RSMembership module, http://toqtoq.fr)
Until the end of August, I could pay by card without having to create or use a paypal account.

I contacted an administrator of RSJoomla who created RSMembership. He managed to pay by card but advises me to contact you.
Is my account the cause of this inconvenience?
Is the amount (10 cents because I am in the test phase) too low?

I put below the comment of the administrator of RSJoomla:

"Since using one of our accounts this worked, this points to your account settings (the same script is being basically used on this) and if you can't use direct credit card payments, this isn't something that you can control from RSMembership! You should try contacting the PayPal gateway if your account can be setup to use credit cards as well instead of logging in with a PayPal account."

Today when I want to pay, the interface offers me:

"Subscribe using a debit or credit card" and "Log in to subscribe"

I choose the first option but then I am forced to subscribe to a paypal account, which I do not want.

The first screenshot is what I saw at the beginning, the second today.

I thank you for your help and wish you a good end of the day

Sincerely

Christophe

If you're using PayPal Standard integration then the Guest Checkout functionality is based on browser cookies. Try clearing your browser cache/cookies and see if you get the Guest Checkout experience then.

The problem is that once you sign into a PayPal account in that browser, the cookie gets set and the PayPal Standard integration then assumes from that point forward that you would always be using PayPal to pay, so it tucks the Guest Checkout option away in a less prominently displayed place.

If you move to the API-based Express Checkout integration then you can get a much better experience for the different payment options that is not cookie based so this would not be an issue anymore.

Hello and thank you for your answer,

So I emptied the cache and cookies, in vain, with chrome and firefox. Same result.
What is the solution you mention (API-based Express Checkout integration)? Is it paying?

I wish you a good day,

Sincerely

Christophe

Express Checkout is free, but it requires an experienced developer to do the integration for you. Details on that are available here: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/checkout/

Yes, it would require a developer to get that done for you. Feel free to reach out if you'd like a bid.
