iPhone app not allowing payments

I am trying to use the iPhone app to send payments to another PayPal user. When I enter the email address and amount, I get an error that states "Payment not completed. Please add a credit card to your PayPal account before sending money." I already had added a credit card and it works fine online. Only the iPhone app is not working. Any ideas?

I am not sure if the issue with the payment not going through is caused by the iPhone app, it may have something to do with PayPal not allowing the payment to go through. I do understand this can be frustrating. PayPal has anti-fraud practices and transaction reviews in place for the good of everyone, and does occasionally affect an account in good standing.
I would suggest to try your transaction again with an alternate method of payment. You can also call PayPal directly and we can take a look at your account to see why this happened.

I am getting the exact same error message on the new iPhone running iOS 5. I contacted PayPal earlier today and the automated customer service bot said I should link my phone to my account, but I had already done that. I double-checked the phone linking (even cleaning out an old number so my phone was the only phone listed) and it didn't help. I have multiple credit cards linked to the account and I've definitely got the phone linked, but I still can't send money from the phone. It would be great to get this feature working.
Does it work for anyone else? Any ideas on what I should do to get it fixed?
